Airstream

Airstream. I've been thinking about them for a while, now. Airstream trailer: shiny, bright aluminum, compact towable trailers that harken back to the 50s and 60s quintessential family vacation.

THIS is an Airstream. It is one of the earliest Wally Byram produced in 1935. 

This is a 1963 Bambi, one of Airstream most popular small-size trailers. I think this is what I am looking for.

Have you ever noticed that when you are looking for something, you seem to see that thing everywhere? And in fact, now that I'm looking for an Airstream, I seem to see trailers everywhere. I live in Central Pennsylvania and on any drive out of town every third driveway has an RV trailer parked in it. But I notice that there are few Airstream trailers. And, I have been canvasing eBay and Craigslist,  BargainSheet and Auction.zip, where there are plenty of Airstreams. Plenty of beauties, and plenty of scams.

I hope to capture in these posts my search and the adventures that ensue.
